update

it's been a crazy two (ish) weeks so far! We've seen a big boom in members! And, hey! Welcome to all you smiling new faces! We're happy to see you join the family!

First and foremost, let's give a big shout out and thanks to Saint Judas , @luna , fitz and auklet for making minimod! <3

Speaking of, we're going to be opening another minimod spot up soon, so keep an eye out for that in the coming days!

As for other updates larger and smaller, we worked hard to update a majority of the rules and guidelines around the site. Not everything is perfect yet, please excuse a few typos (but feel free to point them out so we can fix them, too!), and maybe give them a good skim if you had read them before. They're not perfect yet, but with your help and questions we can always work to improve and grow.

There have been some small changes to the current starter list at the lab. Fletchling was removed as a choice. Meowth and Sneasel were added as Tier 2 options and Elekid was added as a Tier 3. Inari and I decided that it would be best to swap Starters out from time to time. Not all at once, but occasionally as we start to get too many of a certain pokemon picked over the others.

In an 'oopsie-dasiy' moment, I had completely forgot about fossil revival before the site opened! My bad! If you have a Fossil and want it revived, you can now take it to our NPC Sumi in the fossil revival thread, pay a fee, and get a pokemon! To go with this, the subboard 'Elara Museum' is open in Elara Town. Feel free to rp here as well!

After thinking it over and talking with a few others about it, I realized that it was kind of silly to have members track Specks by character when they're all lumped together anyway. So, the Specks board was made as a subboard to the PCs! You are free to track your Specks here, but really do whatever you feel the most comfortable with and what works best for you.

The Other IC category was made and current houses The World, Twisting Dimension, and Challenges board! The World is for past/future threads set outside of Inset. Twisting Dimension if for all your AU needs. Challenges is unique in that it isn't an RP board, but it is still IC and you still earn Specks for what is posted there! In fact, why not read up on how challenges work then post your own and join a few of them! They're great tools for learning your character better, getting back into a certain muse, or just killing a little time!

Now, it wouldn't be the July Update without talk about the new swarm! The theme this time is 'babies'! Go check out what your characters could catch and give it a shot if you want one!

Now on to the meat of this update! Right now we're running an ad contest! It lasts until the 12th of July, 11:59 pm central time. There are 3 different ways to win! You can have the guaranteed prize of a Tier List for posting so many ads, but there is also a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for most ads posted! Lastly is the raffle! Every ad you post earns you another 'ticket' for it, so why not post up even just 1 to get your name in the pot? We have multiple prizes that can be earned, including a Shiny Mystery Egg and an Endangered Mystery Egg!

Now it's time to hype up for the Tournament that starts on July 19th! As mentioned before, it's for Inset's first Gym Leader spot in Circinus city. Sign-ups for the tournament will start July 12th and run for a week. We're looking forward to it, so we hope you are too!
