canons
.
Gym Leaders, Contest Hall Judges and the Elite Four are positions we need on site and have open! They're the closest to 'Canon' characters we have and have certain sway over a few events while also being famous and well known in their own right.Inset has just opened up these positions to take, so if you make a character from scratch keep in mind that the back-story won't have them being a Gym Leader for 'years and years' because the position just hasn't existed for more than a few months.
Each position is expected to be a specialist of one type. The character doesn't have to only use that specific type of pokemon, but they can only use that type in their Challenges. Types also do not overlap, so each of the 17 positions will have a completely different type. Types will be selected on a first come, first serve basis. We do no do claims for these positions.
The current open and taken positions are:
- Circinus Gym - Penbar Reaber - Fighting
- Grus Gym - Open - Open
- Shaula Gym - Open - Open
- North Rigel Gym - Open - Open
- South Rigel Gym - Open - Open

if there is no leader for a gym or hall and you wish to challenge it, staff will step in as temporary leaders. the type and pokemon will be randomized, but we will give you a fair fight just as any gym leader would.
in order to make a new character from scratch or fill these roles with a preexisting character, there are some general rules that must be met or the application will be denied.
characters must be at least 18 years old to apply.
no violent history with pokemon.
no known criminal or gang activity.
after a character has been given this role, they do not have to do any battles or perform duties for up to a MONTH to allow them to set up. it wouldn't be fair to have someone jumping a new character with few pokemon and who might be confused about the rules. however, you are free to take battles before this if you choose.
if you have a preexisting character who fits the requirements for a position and want to take it up, PM myself or 🌺 inari 🌺 with the character in question and we will review it.
each member may only have 1 canon position.
these positions are expected to have higher activity than regular characters. these characters are expected to have at least 2 posts icly every activity check. these posts do not have to be gym/contest/battle related. they just need to be IC as that character.
gym leaders.
Gym Leaders are the de-facto battle experts for their particular type. or, they're at least supposed to pretend to be. they also judge young trainers in skill and grant them badges based on if they can pass certain challenges and prove themselves in their gyms.to be a gym leader, you must have at least 3 different pokemon of the same type. all 3 of these pokemon need to be level 30. 1 of these pokemon needs to be fully evolved.
if you are making a new character to fill this position, you can create 1 of these pokemon. staff will roll you the other 2 pokemon after your acceptance and PM you the info. the premade pokemon falls under all other premade pokemon rules except for the level cap.
a gym may have certain challenges or puzzles before the battle starts, but don't get too crazy or convoluted with it. you may design your own badge to hand out to people who win. you may also give out 1 TM of your choice of your type, but all TMs must be the same. you can also give out between 5000 to 10000 specks in prize money.
if staff feel like you are being biased in your battles; ie, not letting someone have a badge who deserves it or letting someone have it who doesn't; then your character will be ICly fired and the position will be open again. your character cannot reapply for the position and you will be placed on a probation period where you cannot fill these one these positions at all.
if you feel a battle is being treated unfairly, pm a staff member to have them look over the thread.
hall judges.
Contest Stars who chose to continue their careers as mentors instead of retiring in the lap of luxury. they are the ones who know how to make pokemon looks their best on a stage and strut their stuff. they judge aspiring coordinators on their hard work and flare, rewarding them with ribbons.to be a hall judge, you must have at least 3 different pokemon of the same type. all 3 of these pokemon need to be level 30. 1 of these pokemon needs to be fully evolved.

elite four.
the Elite Four are kind of the overseers of the league. they don't have their own bases to battle out of like gym leaders and hall judges do, but they're the people who has risen to the top to prove themselves worthy of their titles.to be an elite four member, you must have at least 5 different pokemon of the same type. 3 of these pokemon need to be level 30. 2 of these pokemon need to be level 50. 2 of these pokemon need to be fully evolved.
if you are making a new character to fill this position, you can create 1 of these pokemon. staff will roll you the other 4 pokemon after your acceptance and PM you the info. the premade pokemon falls under all other premade pokemon rules except for the level cap.
the elite four are challenged once a year in official battles, but those who track them down can challenge them to test their skills. you may give out 1 TM of your choice of your type to winners, but all TMs must be the same. you can also give out between 7500 to 15000 specks in prize money.
