Zephyr smiled, his young features split with a careless toothy grin as he waited for Hana to react, the woman seeming to be having some troubles figuring out where to stand for a moment as she made a noise to fill the space, feet shuffling around and finding a good space away from him. He tried not to giggle, he hoped she wasn't nervous or anything, cuz that would be a little silly. I mean, he was a little maybe, but this was just a fun friendly battle wasn't it, so its not even like it mattered who won or lost here and it was fine if they messed up, cuz that just meant that like, next time they would know how to do it! If you never stumbled around and messed up trying something, well then, you would never figure out how to not mess up and do that thing right at all! The theory seemed to work for Zephyr anyways.

Hana seemed to figure out where she wanted to stand, her hands pulling at the two pokeballs at her side while she smiled, her words edged with excitement. Or at least Zephyr thought so, maybe that was just him however. "Yeah!" He agreed with a vigorous cry. "Double battles and those fancy triple and rotation battles are soooo cool, and I thought, since I had two pokemon, that it only made sense to have a double! Don't you guys agree?" Emily howled, her tail wagging while she panted at Hana while Spiral splashed the water with his tail good naturedly. Of course it did, that was just logic! What better way was there to do it?

All eyes were on Hana and her pokemon though as the woman brought out her pokeballs and summoned her team, all three staring wide eyed at the pokemon that came flashing out of the balls. One, a strange spider with a precariously balanced water bubble on its head, landed delicately and gracefully on the need-thin points of three legs, while the other seemed to sort of just levitate where it was summoned, a great poofy white ball of cotton with two green leaf ears sticking out on either side of it. "Woah coool, you got a water type too! And a grass type, man those are some cool pokemon!" Emily barked, a cheery < Hello! > Greeting the two pokemon from the canine while Spiral eyed the grass type up warily, the water type confidently puffing himself up as though to show he wasn't afraid even as his tail nervously flicked water.

Hana spoke, the woman smiling as she offered to let Zephyr go first. Blinking, he piped up immediately, face lighting up with excitement and adrenaline. "Alright guys, you hear that? We get to go first, thanks miss!" Emily wagged her tail, the canine adopting a playful attack pose as she crouched to the ground, rear raised and wriggling while Spiral ducked under the water for a brief moment before bobbing back up. The two pokemon on the other side seemed to be bickering, or discussing some kind of battle strategy, but neither Zephyr nor his team were patient enough or methodical enough to bother with such tedious things, jumping straight into it with only the vaguest idea of a plan as Zephyr excitedly gave out his first battle commands. "Hey, lets start with that spider, they look tough! Comon Spiral, Emily, get em!" Slapping his tail against the water, the poliwag obeyed, shooting a jet-stream of water from his mouth as he aimed towards the watery bug while Emily howled into the air to mark the start of her fight.
