[attr="class","rostercat2"]Positive: Daring. Harold is an adventurous-courageous type. He can climb, jump or hop, basically anything he had to learn since childhood to survive living homeless in a city and run from cops. He is usually unafraid of most situations and shows indifference to most. Fear for him is very limited because he has lost everything before, and already fears he will lose everything again, but at least he has experience on having lost everything. Anyone who has lost everything and has nothing to lose is the most dangerous kind of person. Debonair. Harold is confident about some things, just not everything that he does. He is confident in being a trainer, being stylish and his natural charm. Though indifferent and cold shoulder-like at first, if he has interest in you, Harold will show it every now and then. As stated before, Harold has the fear of losing everything, including losing relationships, and would rather not start one because he "just knows" they will end. And he will get hurt. If you can convince him that he should be confident on the friendship/relationship and that you will never judge him just because of his family's name, he may slowly consider opening up. Dominant. Just because he's not at all flamboyant doesn't mean he can't be submissive, but Harold simply doesn't truly like the idea of submissiveness anyway. He is aggressive, the Alpha of his pack, and making somebody like him submit to you would take a lot of work. He typically does not enjoy talking about his sexuality, however after a long period of trustworthiness, perhaps he might say something. To any ordinary person, he may seem like the average straight male, or perhaps just altogether asexual, because he does not look at anyone, nor does he engage in sexual activities. This is where Harold has no self-confidence. Where he has fear. But sometimes that is what drives someone's dominance. Heated exchanges turn him on more than anything. Hardworking. Ever since having to be independent on the streets, Harold has taken to becoming a hard worker and has yet to stop ever since. Meticulous. Instead of a talker, Harold is a thinker. Details are important to him, especially when it comes to socializing. In general, he tends to be very precise on things and careful on others. He is attentive to just about everything around him at all times, never truly letting his guard down, because that is just what he has been used to almost all his life. Negative: Amoral. Due to Harold's past, he cannot see morality unless he looks through a lens. He needs support and help in order to do this. He does not think for justice, rightness, nor wrongness of his actions. He simply does them because he believes it will help him. The only time he will not do something he wishes to do is if the consequences are too great, as well as being caught. Social wise, Harold is actually quite moral about this and is very respectful. He has incredible control on himself and has more of a bark than a bite. Apathetic. Upon first meeting him, you may find Harold to be lacking in interests and/or concerns and just not seeing the light of day as much as he should. He isn't depressed, rather anxious. He used to be depressed once, but then he beat it to a pulp and showed it whose boss. Anxiety wasn't something he could do the same thing to, however, and thus prefers to be asocial around others. If interactions persist without his acknowledgement, he will become hostile. If he seems to continue the conversation, despite his lack of enthusiasm, he probably is enjoying the conversation. If you were to see him a second time, he may open up a little more, a brighter set of eyes, brighter looking smile, something small that he is unaware of himself to show you that he appreciates your company. It takes a lot of time, but that may change as long as someone fixes his negative side up first. Callous. If you're dying or in desperate need of help, he won't care. This is heartless of him, but it's just because of the way he had to live as a child. He has this belief in his head that, if he can do it, everyone else should be able to do it, too, without his help. It gets worse. If you are drowning and he had the possibility of saving you or calling authority, he would ignore you and walk away without doing anything. It's his amoral side, that ignorant side that makes him ignore other people's problems, even if they should be saved by him or someone else, because he is what's most important to him. His survival is all he needs to think about and he shouldn't get into other's business, even if it only took a moment. Now, if the person dying would have been someone he knew and trusted, by all means he would throw his amoral attitude away and attempt to save them himself, as he does not like to call authorities due to being criminalistic and all. If it were impossible for him, he would call the cops, and then most likely disappear to keep himself safe from the authorities. He is only callous towards strangers and new people. Criminal. Yes, Harold has committed crime before. He still does time to time, too. He steals clothes and other basic necessities from others, sometimes even other's wallets and just taking their cash in order to continue surviving without a home. He has been caught before as a minor, and nearly jailed a couple of times. If anything, the victim might never understand what happened to their money, food, and clothing, or they could detect this and report it to authorities, but they may not be able to find anything. Harold is very efficient in these categories, and not very efficient in others, for instance stealing other people's Pokemon. He'd love to, but he just seems to be terrible at it. He's never been able to do it. Egocentric. That's right, Harold is self-centered. He does have fears, self-confidence issues, etc. but he still loves and thinks highly of himself. He does not think of other's feelings nor desires at any point until he becomes fond of them. After this, he may push aside his egocentric attitude and might even be helpful towards someone. Eventually, he can be very easy-going and fun to hang around with, as well as being exceedingly helpful. It will just take a lot of time, probably a lot of sweat and tears, and learning on Harold's part. [attr="class","rostercatsub2"]PERSONALITY | [attr="class","rostercat2"]What made Harold criminalistic is an interesting one. The Costanzo family has a huge history in which it was known for its bad boys and familial mafia. Back in a century, that is. Their reputation to this day is still down in the dumps simply because others in their region have passed down the history of these folk who have broken up their mafia ways as soon as their Godfather was killed by police. They had finally found dirt on him and when the Godfather realized this, he attempted to assault the cops and was killed via defense. He in fact managed to kill an officer before he was shot. The Costanzo family had been clean for a couple of generations now. At least three. Despite this, they are still seen as dangerous people and are often turned away even from job opportunities. This lead to Harold's very poor, very desperate life. Most of his life was being homeless with a father who was a lazy alcoholic and a mother who sold herself for drugs. The boy would learn to take care of himself on his own, despite the rather terrible situation he'd been in. His history isn't all frowns and grayness, but it shows why Harold does not have many morals nor social skills. He's rather quiet and thinks for himself before others. It's his survival instinct. In his teenage years, Harold tried cigarettes and immediately regretted it. He tried drugs and immediately regretted that, too. He realized he hated feeling as if he couldn't control himself and thus didn't try a drug more than once. Alcohol ran in the family, and he would drink in his teens, however only when with friends. He did make a couple of friends, other homeless or orphaned kids. They would get into trouble a lot, such as stealing other kid's Pokemon and trainer items. Adulthood came slow, but Harold began to mature. In a limited way, that is. He still had thoughts of a criminal, such as wanting to steal cool or powerful Pokemon, however he has turned more towards becoming powerful by capturing Legendary Pokemon. He hated his family's past, yet it was becoming his shadow and he has yet to realize it. He would need someone very important to show him what he is doing to himself, and that he doesn't have to make himself powerful this way. That he can still work on clearing his family's name. Worst case scenario, he will need to be stopped before he brings danger upon himself and others. [attr="class","rostercatsub2"]HISTORY |
