[attr="class","rostercat2"]Nedim doesn't really have that much going for him. He's your typical douchy teenage boy; almost like the stereotype you see in tv and movies that play the bad guy or the bad guy's friends. Yeah, he would be the cool kid trying to stop the nerd from being prom queen cause his bitch girlfriend wanted to win. That's just the kind of guy he is. Conceited and stuck up, Nedim thinks he's a lot more chill than he really is. He's picky and downright narcissistic because he can get away with it; because he's been taught that it's the only thing that matters. He doesn't like doing things 'beneath him', but honestly that definition changes every day. The only constant is that he hates getting dirt under his nails. Nedim likes to joke around and act funny, but he's the type to take a joke too far and then get mad if you call on it. He was only joking, right? There isn't any reason to get all pissy with him when he didn't mean anything by it. Sure, your mom is dead and he made a yo momma joke, but he didn't know so why are you getting all mad at him? It's not his fault she's dead. He has the self awareness of a pea and mostly has his own head up his ass because of it. Nedim has a very limited worldview and doesn't care about very much beyond it. Like, he doesn't want people to die or get hurt or anything, but he isn't sure how to help with that and doesn't have the drive to think for himself on ways to help yet. He doesn't really mean to be a bad person, he's just very flawed right now and needs time to grow. Deep down, Nedim is very... lonely. It's hard to imagine and he tries to hide it well. He doesn't have many friends who like him for him, instead wanting to get close to him for money or because his parents or his popularity. He's put on a show for so long about who he is and what he wants that he isn't even sure who he really is anymore. On some level he is growing up and becoming self aware, but that part of him is fragile and small right now. This proud, cocky boy could probably be something really special if he would just grow up. His self reliance and determination could be as strong as steel if he didn't feel the need to see affirmation and approval from those around him. [attr="class","rostercatsub2"]PERSONALITY | [attr="class","rostercat2"]Nedim's parents weren't the type for kids. The were career trainers, making a living from battling like only a few could but millions dreamed. They traveled a lot, dealt with a lot of dangerous Pokemon, scaled cliffs or spent rigerous hours in the gym. A real power couple who had made it to the top dozens of times even if they hasn't managed to win. They were Olympians, practically, famous for a small portion of the year while League funded tournaments went on- they were just never able to make it to Gold, is all. But, for whatever reason they had Nedim anyway. His whole conception was an accident, a missed birth control pill and broken condom combination. Still he was born, and they kept him even if they promised never to have another. It's not that Nedim's parents don't love him, they do and he loves them, but they were never around much. He was left in the care of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and sitters a lot of the time. When he was a kid the rare times they were home were a treat and something special. As he got older he just realized that maybe, even if they loved him, they loved their jobs more. So, while he was doted on and given whatever he wanted or needed he never had the type of loving connection a child needs. Being told you're loved is a lot different from feeling loved, which Nedim did not. He went to public school when he was old enough to start. It was a higher end one just shy if being private, full of middle upper class kinda rich kids like himself. He was smart but he didn't try very hard and was starting, actually, to show a tendency to act out for attention. Then came 'Career Day'. Nedim had hope his parents would show up, but it was that kind of hope only a child could have. Given their previous track record with things like this it wasn't likely. But they did, last minute when he was almost about to give up and cry. The other kids were amazed. They had been on t.v.! They had lots of Pokemon! It must have been so cool to be their kid! Nedim was the hottest thing since sliced bread, suddenly And he liked it. It felt nice to have all the attention on him, for everyone to want to be his friend all of a sudden. He was Kindergarten Cool even if he didn't understand what cool was yet. As Nedim grew, the feeling stayed. At first just cause of his parents, then cause of his money and his parents when he was in middle school, then cause of his attitude when he was in high school. It filled some hole in his heart he didn't even know was there to have people hanging off his every word. He was popular and powerful and he loved it. Until he didn't. Nedim's parents had never pressured him into being a trainer, into choosing what he did in his life. They weren't around often enough to try. He woke up one Saturday morning with a few dozen texts, messages, pictures, Facebook tags, snaps from the three or four girls he was stringing along.... But it didn't make him happy. The day before he had been excited and smug, like he always was, when he woke up to see that. That day it just made him tired. He didn't actually know any if those people and they didn't know him. Did he even know himself? What was he doing. Nedim's parents were home that day. Talking about hitching a ride out to Inset, maybe. They had a fresh League to conquer there apparently and it seemed new and exciting. Usually he stayed out of those conversations... that day he spoke up. He wanted to go to. So they did. His parents wanted to help him out by giving Nedim eggs from their prized Pokemon but he refused. He wanted to do this his own way. He wanted to... he didn't know what he wanted. He just... knows he wants. [attr="class","rostercatsub2"]HISTORY |
