I’m your biggest fanI’ll follow you until you love me
"Cassiopeia Village...The place where it all begins, huh..." Ai muttered to herself, getting several good pictures of the Dialga and Palkia statues in the town's center. She circled them, sometimes lying flat on her stomach or on her back to get a good shot from a different angle. She didn't notice any of the perturbed stares from passerby as she worked, not caring even if she did spot anyone looking her way. By the time she was done rolling and circling the statues she sat down cross-legged at their feet to look at her photographs. She deleted any that didn't turn out how she wanted, smiling down as she popped the memory card out of her camera and into her phone. It didn't take long to transfer the pictures, quickly uploading a few of them with a few quick words to the new blog she'd started for her journey.
I'm finally here in Inset everyone!! (o´▽`o)ノ.。.:*☆
[pd1.png][pd2.png][pd3.png]
Finally time to begin my Pokemon journey for real! Of course I'll be scoping out all of the local celebs on the way, so stay tuned if you want the deets~!
As usual, Spike says 'Hi'', and we're going to do our very best!! Wish us luck everyone~!! (ノ>ω<)ノ :。・:*:・゚’★,。・:*:・゚’☆
That was going to have to do for now. Sheesh, sometimes her online persona was so exhausting. It took a lot of effort to maintain that cutesy-ness, and she was grateful there would never be a way for anyone to figure out that was her in real life. She'd never publish under her real name; she didn't want people to hold her to that standard face to face, because she'd never be able to do it. She couldn't play cute at all, she'd learned that from quite a young age during her short stint in acting. At least acting was easy when people couldn't see your face or hear your voice. Sometimes it was hard to read the tone of simple text, but it was still a lot easier to fake than a cutesy falsetto and a forced smile.
Remembering she'd just been rolling about in the dirt, she stood up to dust her clothes off and clean her glasses with the corner of her shirt. She didn't have much time to waste, but being in a new place all alone was a new experience for her. Aside from when she was working, she always had people around while traveling. Whether it be her parents or one of their acquaintances, or one of her 'babysitters' making sure she didn't embarrass the family too much in public, this was the first time it would just be her and Spike out on their own which was vastly preferable. Finally, she'd be free to do what she wanted, when she wanted. ...Though, admittedly, that would make some things a little more difficult for her. She usually took her picture of herself everywhere she went for the blog (with her face cleverly covered up of course, there was no way she'd ever show her followers that ugly mug and lose them all), and had always gotten one of her handlers to do it. What would she do now? It wasn't like Spike could hold a camera or take a picture with his big round arms, and even if he could he was always in these pictures with her too.
She eyeballed the plaza with a sharp gaze, zoning in on a girl who looked to be around her age. It would probably be the least embarrassing to ask her, right? Talking to strangers would be easier now than it had ever been. It's not like she had any airs to keep up in this region. There's no way anybody would know her parentage unless she brought it up herself, and the chances of that were slim. She didn't like nepotism; didn't want anybody faking nice with her just because they wanted to get in good with her family. She'd had enough of that. She was also tired of talent-less hacks using it to land jobs in the industry and gain fame they didn't deserve. What was so great about a star that shined only with the light of their family?
Lost in her thoughts, she hadn't realized she'd been boring holes into the girl she was staring at. It was definitely obvious now. She finally came back to herself, shuffling over to her at a rapid pace as she expertly got her memory card back out of her phone and into her camera. "Heeyyy...are you busy? Can I get you to take a picture for me?" she paused awkwardly, holding her camera out to the girl slightly though her knuckles were white with how tightly she was gripping it. Finally, she remembered what she'd forgotten to say. ".........Please?" Nailed it. She just oozed charm. (Sweat. She mostly just oozed sweat, which she was doing quite heavily at that moment.)

Sana was currently nibbling on a sandwich, perched on one of the benches and watching carefully the people as they circled the square. Dialga and Palkia rose up before her in their stone states, mouths open in roars, arms spread wide in poses of power. What Sana wouldn't give to meet the legendaries, just to ask them a couple of questions about the very materials that made up their universe. Space and time were, of course, the most mystifying of the various laws of the universe, and the power it took to be able to bend them to one's will. Simple fascinating! But unfortunately these were just dead depictions of deities that hadn't graced the earth for hundreds of years, and Sana couldn't inquire about what exactly, would happen if a space rift was torn right in front of her.
Would it behave like a black hole? Would it destroy the very land they stood on? Or, like a tear in fabric, would it simply allow you to pass through to another place entirely?
The girl cocked her head, took another bite, and tired of such quanderies, turned to her favorite past-time: people watching. There was so much information, so much entertainment in just observing. She pulled her feet up, knees below her chin as she chewed and observed. There were the native couples, rounding the square on the way to somewhere unimportant. They gave no glances to the statues that marked their town. But there were newcomers, tourists too. Mostly young people, drawn to the lab if the dark haired girl had to guess.
There was one in particular that, as her dark eyes fell upon a girl, piqued her interest. She twisted in the dirt, camera in hand, attempting it seemed, to capture the majesty of the twin statues. It was the kind of interest that went beyond simply posting it onto your casual social media feed. Sana kept her eyes trained on her, almost forgetting to continue to eat her lunch, watching snake like as the girl went through the movements of checking her camera, standing around, spotting Sana.
It was an entirely unpleasant surprise when the girl actually approached Sana, and if she didn't have a permanent nearly blank expression in her wide dark eyes, the teenager would have cringed. Instead she perched, half a sandwich clutched in her large hands, staring unblinkingly at the other who had approached her.
Her eyes flicked down to the camera, and with a wide smile, Sana shoved the entirety of the last of her lunch into her mouth, before holding her hand out to Ai, making a brief grabby motion as she awkwardly unfolded herself, revealing a small frame dressed in a deep green track suit.
If Sana didn't know better, this girl was nervous. Sweaty, her mind checked, before adding, tight grip. Oh this would be wonderful indeed, she thought as she hummed to herself, swallowing her lunch down before chirping. "Where then?"

As the girl finished off her sandwich and unfolded herself, Ai couldn't help but take note of her appearance now that she actually had a good look at her. She was small, much like herself. She had far longer hair though, and Ai couldn't help but wonder how much of a pain it was to take care of it. Sometimes she debated saving herself some trouble and cutting her ponytail off, but every time she held the scissors to it she decided against it at the last moment. Turning her mind back to the other girl, she noted that her green tracksuit was rather...cute. A fellow lover of the best color that existed? Maybe she wasn't too bad. A tiny smile cracked her lips as she glanced down at the girl's outstretched hand, willing herself to stretch her own arms out.
It was hard; this was the first time she'd ever handed her baby over to a complete stranger. What if as soon as she let go the other girl took off? It was a very expensive camera, and if she lost it she didn't know what she'd do. ...Well, if all else failed, Spike could probably stop the girl. Not that she was likely to be outrun; Ai was used to chasing after people whether they wanted her to follow them or not. It was hard to escape her watchful eye. Finally, with a deep breath, she set the camera in the girl's hands and managed to pry her own away from it. "Just....right here," she started, turning to look at the square from where the girl was standing. This angle wasn't bad, but she wanted to get a shot of the Pokemon Lab in the background along with the statues, and in order to do that they'd need to move around to the other side of the statues. "Well...almost here. Can we maybe...move to the other side?" She began shuffling in that direction, very slowly so she didn't get too far ahead of Sana. She wanted to keep her eagle eyes trained on her while she held her beloved camera- make sure she didn't make a break for it.
As they moved Ai pulled a couple of things out of her shoulder bag. Something dark folded in half taped to a large popsicle stick, and a Pokeball. She tapped the button, releasing the Cacnea that had been hanging out inside. He blinked a few times, getting used to the surroundings before looking up Ai. "We're going to get our picture taken with the statues. Okay, Spike?" she noted, and the Cacnea nodded.
< But who is going to take our picture? You won't be able to do it because of your mask, right? > he asked quizzically, and Ai gestured over to Sana. It still hadn't even occurred to her that she hadn't yet introduced herself, or to have asked for her name in return. When she got like this, she had such a one track mind. Spike toddled over to Sana, giving her a brief wave. < Hello! Um, thanks for taking this picture for us. And I'm sorry about my trainer, I bet she hasn't even said hi to you, right? > The Cacnea knew his trainer far too well. If she'd heard what he said about her, she didn't acknowledge it. She either didn't hear him or didn't care as she set to work unfolding the paper mask she'd pulled out of her bag as well. < Her name is Ai, and mine is Spike! It's nice to meet you! > At least one of the two was a bit sociable.

Sana accepted the camera easily. She had no qualms about dropping it. Instead she brought it up to one of her large eyes to peer through, using it to watch the girl as she spoke, taking the opportunity to zoom in on as far as she could onto the girl's face, watching intently the way her mouth wrinkled as she spoke. Peeling it off of her face to shuffle over to wear the girl wanted to pose, Sana tried not to fidget, though it was clear from the way her body tended to curl in on herself the girl was thrumming with energy.
Ai was friendly enough.
Sana could also tell Ai was keeping an eye on her, which was an unusually smart move, one that Sana had not particularly been expecting. See Sana didn't want to steal the camera, but she was generally under the impression that the people around her were so stupid that it would be possible for her to do so if she wanted to.
Instead the girl nodded along, "Alright, alright."
That was when the other girl released her pokemon, and Sana's eyes widened as her brain supplied the necessary information. Cacnea, a versatile grass type. Not bad, not bad. Though Mags could probably defeat it. The cacnea came out already chiding his trainer and Sana tried for another wide smile.
"Eugh, its no problem," she said with a limp wave of her hand. "I'm Sana."
As she raised the camera once again, adjusting it to get a decent enough framing of trainer and cacnea, she spoke nonchalantly. "Whats with the mask though? Planning to rob a bank?"

I’m your biggest fanI’ll follow you until you love me
Spike seemed pleased with Sana’s introduction, giving her a small wave and a smile of his own in return. < Nice to meet you, Sana! > He glanced over at Ai who was quietly muttering something to herself as she was still busy getting the mask unfolded. He huffed a little, tapping his spikes on the ground to make a sound to get her attention. It worked, and Ai blinked for a moment before turning to him. < You, too! Introduce yourself properly! >
Ai tried not to sigh as her gaze settled on Sana again, looking first at the camera before back up to her face. “N-Nice to meet you, Sana. I’m…Ai.” Her gaze shifted back to what she was doing and Spike sighed softly. < I’m sorry about her, she’s not very sociable. I hope you don’t hold it against her. > Again, Ai seemed to pointedly ignore his comment though she muttered something inaudible under her breath.
She’d finished unfolding the mask now, though it was a mask in the crudest sense. It was a large paper circle attached to a stick for holding in front of her face, the front of which had a cute text emoji face winking on full display. Ai snorted a laugh and Sana’s comment about bank robbing, glancing back over at her. “No bank robbing for me, but I bet I could plan a pretty good heist,” she replied, smiling a bit more now. She’d seen plenty of heist films, that was all the knowledge someone needed to plan a good bank robbery, right? Not that she had any want or desire to. Her allowance on this trip would be more than enough for her. “No, this mask is to hide my identity. I like to stay anonymous online, but with pics it’s hard to do that.” She didn’t have to take the photos, but her followers seemed to like when she posted them. It was fun being a mystery; reading speculation on what she really looked like, whether it was nice or incredibly awful, was fun.
With that, she gestured to Spike and he made his way over to her side. They both took up a pose, Ai holding the mask over her face flashing a peace sign while Spike gave a bright smile. Thankfully, Ai could still speak since she wasn’t predisposed with smiling. “Ready whenever you are,” she called, holding fast to the pose. It still felt awkward since she didn’t really do this cutesy stuff in real life, but she had to stay true to her online persona. Hopefully Sana wouldn’t judge her too hard for it, or find some way to leak the info. Not that she had a feeling Sana was into the same type of blogging she was; she wasn’t sure the other girl was into blogging at all, for that matter.
