[attr="class","rostercat2"]Sana was always a little bit strange, but her strangeness was not entirely unusual for the small town she grew up in. However, Sana's eccentricities sometimes go beyond the allowed fascination with the paranormal. Sana considers herself to be a vessel of information, collecting and learning new things and storing them within herself for future use. Her way of thinking is analytical, sharp and focused. So anything she sees as dragging her attention away from her pursuit of knowledge is suitably ignored and disparaged. Personal hygiene? A waste of time. Friends? Only if she can benefit from their presence. Morality? Useless. Sana is not kind. She is not nice. She is logical and precise in the way she operates. If she thinks that a pokemon could benefit from being pushed beyond its limits then she will do that, just to see what happens. If poaching a pokemon or two would give her access to a new possibility for study or funds, well then thats too bad for them. But Sana is not stupid, she operates in a way that keeps attention off of her, adopting the weird kid stereotype and operating within it to get away with questionable actions. She knows she can only rely on her youth to get away with things for so long, but at the moment she is clinging to other's judgements to get by. She is, authentically, socially awkward, prone to babbling to herself in order to process her thoughts and responding to people in ways that are considered rude, cutting through small talk to jab to the heart of the problem. That being said, Sana feels joy like everyone else, and like everyone else she wants to be happy despite her general mopey exterior. Ghost pokemon and the occult make her happy. If she could discover the exact connection between humans and ghost type pokemon, it would make her even happier. They are, after-all, departed souls. While psychic pokemon's powers hold her attention to a lesser extent, Sana finds any pokemon that can draw power from humanity extremely fascinating. But then again, every pokemon holds knowledge, or could be used to gather knowledge, so she is not terribly picky. Some people might say Sana is bad, or warped, or even evil if Sana has had a particularly bad day. Sana disagrees. Sana is smart, and she is playing by the rules of the earth, not by social convention. But rather than arguing, she would rather shrug, move on, pursue the unexplored and unknowable. [attr="class","rostercatsub2"]PERSONALITY | [attr="class","rostercat2"]Sana was raised primarily by her father. Her mother was always a mystery, something that piqued her curiosity. Her whole life Sana has wondered who her mother was. In the end, her father revealed her mother to be some long drawn out tragedy. A few years younger, knocked up, scared as soon as she saw her daughter's large dark eyes stare up into her. Took off for better or worse. Despite this her father loved her. Sana wasn't sure why he loved her, thought it was a bit frivolous and silly to have such a deep attachment to another being, but she humored him. She would give him wide toothy smiles when she knew it would mean she could get away whatever she wanted. She spent much of her time in the woods, climbing trees and using the height disadvantage to stare at the various people in the neighborhood. She would watch their habits, what they did, who they saw. Looking back perhaps she should have been concerned with how easily her father let her disappear for a few hours, but from her spying she had already learned it was so one of his girlfriends could come over. Sana tended to unnerve people, so it was easier to let her run about outside with "friends" than introduce her to whoever he was currently screwing. After much thinking, Sana deduced this must have been the pattern that produced her. Habits were hard to break. Growing up Sana didn't have many friends, but she didn't think she particularly needed them. She was perfectly happy delving deep into her school work, and as such she ended up skipping a few grades, alienating her further in the tiny Shaula school system. Her teachers liked her because she was quiet and did her work. Most of the time though she sped through it, ending up sitting in the back dangling her legs and happily reading whatever extra books she had snuck into class. But then she graduated, which was a very interesting predicament indeed. By the time Sana reached seventeen she had realized her outlook on life was very different from others. When people denounced pokemon testing Sana shrugged. When they dreamed of becoming trainers, rescuing and raising pokemon, helping others. They wanted to heroes. They wanted to be good people. Sana did not. Sana wanted to learn, and she saw pokemon as a stepping stone to that knowledge. But she didn't approach it that way with her father, who she knew would be her main financial support. Instead she babbled about wanting to explore, needing independence, wishing to seek her fortunes with a pokemon at her side. And her father was so enthused by imagining his strange little girl pursuing a normal dream, a regular dream, he supported her immediately. [attr="class","rostercatsub2"]HISTORY |
