an alolan-born singer and rapper who rose out of obscurity only recently and became something of a minor celebrity in unova. while his stage persona is more on the aggressive and gregarious side, he has difficulty reconciling it with the more reserved, customer service oriented persona he built up from working at the Hano Grand Resort for the entirety of his teenage years. he came to inset to participate in a reality tv show around his travels.

he's fond of pokemon, but knows embarrassingly little about the practice of training them.


okay, my boy has two levels here - you can make friends with Avarice, which is more on a superficial level, or you can try and make friends with kaleo, which is kind of a weird slowburn process that will probably take your character a few in game months to reach.
Avarice is a bit of a handful, but he's cheerful and supportive and more than happy to root for you like he's been your best friend your entire life. kaleo is the son of a poor family who took everyone else's burdens upon himself to try and enable his siblings to have a good life... and found himself awarded by circumstance later.  main difference between the two being, while Avarice will ditch your ass to save his career, kaleo will ditch his career to save your ass... even if your ass can't be saved.
both could be potentially spicy, depending, so take your pick.


honestly, i'd be more surprised if Avarice DIDN'T rub most people the wrong way. he's loud, competitive, kind of flirtatious, and probably won't immediately open up about any aspect of his life that isn't directly linked with his music career in most circumstances... which causes him to come off as distrustful. and, he kind of is, a little bit - the chip in his shoulder surrounding his own ignorance and upbringing is a mile wide, and is pretty easy to pry at if you hit him in the right spot.
tl;dr please have your ocs dislike him i'll make it fun


like the friendship section, this is another two-tier deal - if you're looking for something easy, Avarice is kind of a ho and looking to expand his... erm... social network. you want an evening adventure with no strings attached, he's good for it. just don't expect him to call you later unless he wants something. (if his flirty ass @ ur oc makes u uncomfortable tho pleas don't hesitate to let me know - your comfort comes first!)

if you're looking for something softer and squishier out of him, however, i work on a basis of chemistry built up over several threads. i don't generally do pre-shipping, but if you got ideas, feel free to pitch 'em to me here or in DMs and i'd be willing to try 'em. they just... may not have the results intended, depending on the progression of their interactions. you absolutely have permission to use him and dump him tho i would live for that
