[attr="class","rostercat2"] Sylvia is very much like what you would think the moment you see her. A wild child, untamed by modern society. The girl dresses for her environment, by dressing in things from her environment. Leaves, wover grass, bark and twigs, with an occasional addition of twine. A survivalist at heart, Sylvia's upbringing has made her quite attune with the natural world around her, and as such loves to spend the days and nights outdoors. You wouldn't think such a girl would be able to read, but she had learned, and carried until it fell apart, her favourite book. A brave knight that protected the land, whom with the aid of a noble squire saved the maiden fair. Sylvia loves this story, and wants more than anything to be a knight in shining armour. Knowing these times have long passed, and it's become a new world, Sylvia seeks to emulate it regardless. She knows her way around a stick, that she calls her mighty sword, and a large chunk of bark with a red swirl painted on the side is her hearty shield. Her style reflects this in small ways, with shoulder pads, shin and arm guards made of bark. A sensitive girl, Syvlia's own emotions reflect the environment around her. In the presence of someone sad Sylvia will feel similar, and just being near someone happy, she can't help but smile. It is largely the reason that Sylvia took care of sick and injured pokemon, and fed the hungry ones when they couldn't hunt for themselves. Despite this, Sylvia understands nature is a cruel place, and though she loves the wild, she understands the golden rule of survival of the fittest. You pacify or avoid predatory creatures, you seek the temporary companionship of the other small ones, as packs meant safety. Perhaps that's what led her to stalk the Ranger's Station. It was time to find a squire. Upon the unfortunate side of things, Sylvia is a rather naive individual, that would trust just about anyone that hasn't proven in a direct light that their a bad guy. Incidentally, she wouldn't trust anyone dressed in black armour, no matter how virtuous. It's not just her level of trust in strangers, but her naivety of just how the world works. She doesn't really understand money or math, and while she can read, she can't do big words, or small confusing words, and of course, as much as she swings her stick around, it's not a sword, it's a stick, and she's not a knight, yet, but a scrawny little girl that pretends to be one.-------------- [attr="class","rostercatsub2"]PERSONALITY | [attr="class","rostercat2"]Not everything is right in the world. But everything right isn't exactly wrong. It all depends upon who you ask. Sylvia was a lost child. She doesn't know if she wandered away from her birth parents, or if she was abandoned, or stolen. Sylvia was both alone, and not alone, depending on who you asked. If you asked the girl herself, she would say she had all the company in the world, and wouldn't trade it for a thing. Where you may ask, would be deep within the forests she loves so. It wasn't an easy task, but with a lot of help, Sylvia managed. Sylvia has one memento from the time before she could remember. Or, had, as the elements weren't as kind to it, as they had been to the child. A book bound in a hardcover with a picture of a brave knight in shining armour on the cover. Though it's long succumbed to the elements, Sylvia remembers reading much of it, and practiced her alphabet to read more until it fell apart in the rain. Pokemon were both friendly, and predatory, and mean, sometimes all at once, and it took a special eye to see which of the many moods they were in. Little things, like a bit peckish, could turn a friendly meeting into a chase. Sylvia quickly learned which pokemon could be approached at which time, and what sort of gift to offer to one to satiate its anger at being disturbed. Rain was her least favourite, it made scavenging difficult for all, and on top of that cold. She was never lonely, not for one second, though. A pack, temporary though it may be, and Sylvia had one. With one, meant sharing your food. Without one, very well meant death. It was perhaps this, that gave her the passion for pokemon she so enjoyed. And it was this, that eventually had her make her way back towards other humans. Sylvia wanted to learn a little more about pokemon, and wanted to learn a little more, just a little more.
