Judas had decidedly gone from having a bird digging into his shoulders to one digging into his scalp instead. He might have preffered the former, he didn't have a sensitive scalp, per say, but it was certainly still a lot more painful of a perch then the prior. Especially since this time the digging in of claws was quite purposeful, much his distress and confusion. The fletchling seemed a haughty thing, he wasn't quite sure how to make it less aggressive and hostile towards him, yet the little robin was still standing on his head, even despite it's clear disdain and hate for him and Archimedes, whith whom it frequently seemed to trade glares. He was only glad they didn't start fighting again, fiesty as Archimedes could be, she was hardly a fair match to the fletchling. The last thing he wanted was her to get hurt.
Birdseed, at least, was an easy find, and that much Judas was thankful for, feeling the tension of his newest self-proclaimed and strange companion. Cautiously he offered some of the seed to them, a usual courtesy, and winced as his fingers were pecked slightly, drawing them back swiftly as the robin snatched up the offered pieces in one peck. More was offered to Archimedes, the pidove much more gentle as she eagerly took hers as well. With a heavy sigh, the man grimaced, then glanced around, trying to find himself a good place, the main square teeming with birds and people.
A moment later, and his red feathered companion took off, his scalp tingling in relief from the tight grip of small feet as the bird circled around and looped up to alight on the mane of Dialga. Judas blinked, confused at it's decided insistence to come along only for it to abandon him without a word or seeming intention or care to return—the little red and white robin pokemon a tiny spot upon the top of the great stone statue—then after a moment, with a shake of his head, continued on his own. It didn't really matter did it? Let the fletchling do what it willed...
Judas didn't get far into the square however, before another approached him in fletchling's place. A taillow, small with vibrant sapphire feathers, landed at his feet, then chirped, loudly, to get his attention. A "hmm?" Left his lips in surprised confusion, then a smile as the little bird chirped again. "Hello there little one..." He said softly, crouching down to it. Archimedes cooed, eyeing this newcomer carefully, suspicious still after the fletchling but interested and curious in the bold taillow. Then again, city birds were accustomed to humans, it wasn't so strange to see one fearless of them. The taillow hopped a few short steps closer, tilting it's head this way and that as it studied Judas first, then Archimedes. A hand was offered, gently, and it studied that too. "What a fine little feathered bird you are" Judas murmured, admiring it as it ruffled it's feathers out before looking up at him again. He had always had such a soft spot for flying types, avians especially. Their graceful way of flying, their sleek feathers and bold plumage...
The taillow seemed to thrum slightly, then sang a few bars of song brightly before chiming in with a < feed me? > as it pointedly looked towards the plastic bags of birdseed in his hands. Judas chuckled, then, smiling, retrieving a minute pile of seed in his hand and offering it out to the pokemon, teasing it even as it sang happily, eagerly hopping over to eat. "I see what your really after little friend. You don't care about me, just the free food hmm?" There was no blame, just a light mocking, and the bird seemed unbothered by it, only pausing between seeds to cock it's head at him, shuffling bright feathers as it cheerily chirped < Hungry! You have food! >
Archimedes thrummed in amusement first at the blantent honesty of the unabashed little bird, then as a blue and red feathered head began bobbing over the food to eat, started shifting and shuffling, lettng out an aggravated coo before fluttering down, the pidove struck by a fit of jealousy as she landed beside the taillow and pressed up in it's space. Immediately Judas was alarmed, not quite having realized how on edge she still was, and he reached for her, worried of the taillow's reaction.
But the other bird merely paused eating a moment, blinking in surprise as it twisted it's head to look at Archimedes before beginning to sing and nuzzle against her, a light tune working from it's beak. The pidove hesitated a moment, then, relaxing, nuzzled against it in return, thrumming and cooing happily, and cozying up to cuddle against it.
Judas raised a brow at Archimedes, who returned his baffled and confused look with a sort of satisfaction as her new companion set in to finishing off the seeds. "Looks like someone makes friends fast" He muttered, though his tone was light here as well. She cooed, snug and happy, and a chimed note came from the blue bird, it's voice muffled as it swallowed down a seed. The taillow finished off the serving he had given it, and fluffing out her feathers, nuzzled against Archimedes again with a few whistled notes. The man sighed, pretending exasperation though it was clear he was enjoying seeing his companion and the new bird happily snuggled against each other. "You want to keep her don't you?" He questioned. Archimedes cooed, and the taillow's eyes turned up to him, it's head tilting.
Flicking it's tail, the taillow glanced between the two of them, it's sing-song bright voice innocently questioning. < keep? What do you mean, keep? > Curiousity glittered in dark eyes, studying Judas intently with interest. Archimedes was quick to provide her own answer, a cooed < flock! mate flock! > Judas laughed, the taillow's eyes widening slightly, though confusion still seemed to hang over the little bird. "You can... Well, come with us. I think Archimedes wouldn't mind the company, though she never does..." Archimedes purred. The taillow tilted it's head the other way. < Come with? Like follow? > Judas nodded smiling at the bird. "Sure, you can follow along and travel with us." The taillow seemed to sway back and forth slightly, it's head bobbing as though trying to imagine the idea and decide if it was a pleasing one of not to it. Archimedes cozied up even closer to it, the pidove seeming almost smug with herself as she snuck in a little < Lots free food~ >
The taillow's eyes lit up, and happily it nodded, the shakes of it's head vigorous in decision. < I like food, food is good! Would be nice not to be hungry! > Judas shook his head in bemusement. Food really was the key to a bird's heart wasn't it?
