Delilah was busy finishing grooming the Mudkip in her lap, rubbing the pokemon down with nice smelling lotions after her nice long warm bath. She wasn't expecting any new Trainers today but that didn't mean one wouldn't show up. Low and behold, the door creaked open and a young girl pushed her way through. She seemed nervous, which Delilah couldn't help but find amusing. This was a big day for a lot of young Trainers so she coudn't blame the young girl. She remembered her own trip to the lab when she was just a kid- it always warmed her heart when new Trainers like this young lady came through.

"Hello there. I'm Delilah, a lab aide here. It's nice to meet you." Standing up, Delilah plopped the Mudkip on the desk and took out the paperwork for new Trainers. "Here you are. Could you fill this out for me?" She offered the clipboard and an ink pen. "While you fill that out, could you tell me if you have any experience with Pokemon? And if you have any preferences?"

The Mudkip eyed Mirra up and down before she huffed and stood up.

< Miss Delilah. I want to be a starter choice for this young lady! > The Mudkip declared. She was prim and proper in how she spoke, like a lady might be. Whatever Mudkip had seem when she sized Mirra up had impressed her.

"Pet her? You'll have to ask her that. She's kind of picky, so don't be surprised if she says 'no', though." Delilah gave a soft chuckle at Mudkip's expense and started to dig around in the starter selections. A cute water type with a big nose.... she had two pokemon that could fit that description. This young lady seemed to know what she wanted so far. That was okay. Delilah had known she had wanted a Ghost type for sure when she was a kid and that's what she had picked. She still loved Creeps very much, too.

< Miss Delilah! > The Mudkip started, scandalized, and blushed a little. She huffed and took a few steps closer to the edge of the desk- and Mirra. < Of course you can pet me, dearie. My skin is very well taken care of and will be the softest you'll ever feel, I assure you. >

While Mudkip spoke, Delilah pulled out a pokeball and released a second pokemon choice. An Oshawott blinked up at everyone around him before he tilted his head and approached Mirra slowly.

< Hi there! > He spoke, hushed but excited. < It's nice to meet you. I like your hair! > Oshawott seemed very happy to be meeting Mirra. He loved styling hair and wanted a Trainer who had nice hair so he could help take care of it.

"A seal? Ah, yes, I know now!" Delilah gave a soft laugh and plucked the last pokeball she had in mind from the shelf. "Here you are!" The older woman released the last pokemon in a flash of red light.

A Popplio gave a big stretch and yawned wide before she looked around. She grinned when she saw Mirra, sitting up and trying to 'flex' her fins to show off to the girl.

< I guess I'm a Starter choice? Nice. I'm the best of the best so you might as well just take me now! > The Popplio said. She was a little cocky but at least she was cute. < I'm, like, the best battler ever! So if you want someone who can beat up lots of pokemon then I'm your gal! >

Mudkip scoffed, rolling her eyes. < Don't be so barbaric Popplio! It's very rude! >

Oshawott blushed and seemed to enjoy the pets. < Thank you.... >
