[attr="class","rostercat2"]Dezi may be the last person that anyone would expect to see as a contest hall judge. He's incredibly timid, to say the least. He doesn't have the confidence or personality that may go with it. Instead, he's incredibly jumpy, with the smallest thing startling him, whether it be a sudden movement or a loud noise. His lack of confidence in himself makes it more than a little hard for him, as well. Although he'd never admit it, he's almost constantly worried about doing something to mess up and cause a scene. Because of this, he has a habit of second guessing himself, and he's always doubting if he did the right thing. He doesn't exactly like to reveal his opinion on things, either. Unless he absolutely had to join in, he'd much rather avoid any type of argument or debate that he could. When it comes to stuff like that, he'd much rather stay in the shadows, where he wouldn't have to worry about explaining himself or being judged. If it came down to him having to join in, he'd try and explain his part the best he could, which probably wouldn't be the best. He'd probably stumble over his words more than actually explain anything. Dezi can't exactly handle being the center of attention. He's getting better about it, due to his job, but in no way does he like it. Maybe his job is helping; what used to be an almost suffocaing fear has turneed into a nervousness when he's the only one in the middle of a large crowd of people. Although he'd never openly admit it, he's more than a little jealous of those that can handle large crowds and are confident in their abilities. He thinks that they're lucky, being able to do stuff without overthinking it. He wishes he could be like that, although he doubts it would happen any time soon, if at all. When it comes down to himself and his dreams, he's a bit pessimistic, believing that only the bad stuff will happen, and barely rarely the good stuff. While he may not be able to handle people well, Dezi is completely at home with his Pokemon. He cares for them and tries his best to shower them in all the affection that he can. He wants them to know that he cares for them, after all. Just like anyone should care for their Pokemon. He's soft hearted, and a large part of him wants to gather up all the Pokemon he can and just give them the love and affection that they deserve. He knows that'd be an impossible job, though, so he'll just have to settle with tthe ones he has. Dezi is also a big fan of helping people follow their dreams. Despite his thoughts on his own dreams, he wants to be as supportive of others as he can, even if that means dealing with a large crowd along the way. If it means helping someone else out, so be it. He'll be able to deal with it for as long as he may have to. He believes that everyone that has a strong belief in their dreams can do it, no matter who they may be or how old they may be. There's nothing wrong with it. Dezi would be the type to go out of his way to help everyone that needs it. It wouldn't matter who, or what, they are. If they need any type of help or support, then he'll try his best to be the one to come through. He doesn't think that anyone should be denied help, regardless of who they may be or what they may be going through. He couldn't just sit back and watch as someone struggled, either mentally or physically. He would never have the heart to do such a thing, and guilt would eat at him unless he helped out any way he could. Dezi is a bit of a hopeless romantic. He loves the idea of meeting someone and having to share an umbrella, or just a number of cute ideas such as that. Despite usually being pessimistic when it comes to himself, he believes that there is someone out there for him, a soul mate of sorts, that he'll meet and they'll hit it off instantly. He can believe, right? [attr="class","rostercatsub2"]PERSONALITY | [attr="class","rostercat2"]Dezi was born into a family with his mother, father, and one older brother. They lived in a cramped apartment, with just enough room to move around in. Dezi's first memories, ones vaguely there, were of his parents deciding to take them around the city, and seeing the skyscrapers seeming to reach the sky, and the busy, bustling people. His older brother, being about three years older, was already convinced that he would be the best trainer ever, and that he'd challenge the two gyms in Saffron city first! While he managed to make a few friends, Dezi's best friend was his brother. Usually, he would stay around his older sibling and his friends, trailing after them whenever he could. He loved being by his brother's side, and being a part of the gang, as he would claim. Then, as years passed, school began to start, and before long he found himself being pushed into it. He managed to see his brother a lot, but it wasn't as often as he would have liked, unless it was when they were home. Around this time, his brother began to grow farther away from him, and his travels with the friend group became less and less often. At eight, it was obvious that Dezi wasn't going to be the best when it came to making friends. He'd still rather prefer his brother, and he struggled despite the nudges his family gave him. Finally, he managed to make one, although they were never truly all that close. The friend was more of someone for Dezi to talk to when he couldn't stand how quiet everything was. Even though they were never close friends, Dezi still liked it, how he could mind his own business until he had to talk to this friend about something. Years passed like this, until Dezi was ten. A classmate had been talking about a thing called a coordinator, something he hadn't heard of, or just not paid attention to. When he was told about it, it caused a new hope of sorts to rise in him. It sounded like something he would want to do. It sounded like something he would be able to do. Part of him was drawn to it, and he began to make a goal to do it when he got older. It wasn't until he announced it to his family, and his brother voiced his doubts about Dezi being so quiet, that it started doubrs of his own. Despite this, his family was supportive, even as Dezi began to seemingly become more timid and quiet. By the age of fourteen, his brother tried to confront him about it, but Dezi found that he couldn't explain to even his brother, leading his older sibling to grow angry at him for a long time, claiming that Dezi thought he couldn't trust him. Despite how much Dezi wanted to explain that it wasn't the reason, he struggled with it, and still tried to apologize the best that he could. On Dezi's seventeenth birthday, his brother seemed to give in and surprised him with an egg, saying nothing about it except that it would hopefully help him to his path of being a coordinator. For months on end, Dezi took care of the egg, until it hatched into something that surprised him; Sableye. While he was a bit hesitant, the Sableye, nicknamed Pitch, quickly began to grow on him. On the day of his eighteenth birthday, he took his trusted Pokemon, and wished his family a goodbye, promising that he would be back someday, and someday soon. With that, he was on his way to a journey. Over two years, he managed to luck his way through contest halls, until a new announcement caught his attention. The Inset Region had started contest halls, and despite the fact that his family wasn't told, he scrounged up what money he had and headed to this region. Somehow, he managed to become a contest hall leader, where he remained the last few months, reaching into his twenty first birthday. [attr="class","rostercatsub2"]HISTORY |
