Heaven, I'm in heaven And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak And I seem to find the happiness I seek When we're out together dancing cheek to cheek “Welcome to paradise…” Aislin murmured to Astrape and Chloris, who were balanced in her arms as they stood on the edge of the crackling plain, before placing them on the ground. The static charge was palpable in the air, and she knew her Elekid would get a kick out of it by nature of type - but the soil here was rich with nitrates for her grass type as well as evidenced by the waving tall grasses of the plain. Chloris toddled along behind her sister, the Budew blowing raspberries of joy as she spun her fronds back and forth, mimicking the way the elder Elekid was spinning her arms in circles to charge up her horns. They could get some training done while they were here, Aislin supposed. It was better than the lake they’d just been to. The same lake their brother, an as yet unnamed Koffing, had hatched at. He was tucked away in a cherish ball - a waste, really, in Aislin’s eyes. But his pink smoke had redeemed him enough to keep him on the team. Having a living smoke machine was useful for the team contests Aislin planned to specialize in now. And there was still the mystery of the two eggs in her bag plus the possibility of mutations for the other three she knew the species of already. Her hands went into fists around the newly replaced crossbody strap on her purse as her excitement was renewed in a little burst of inspiration. The purse itself had just been to a specialty cleaners to remove the stench of the hatched Koffing - Nosos perhaps? That was a good name for his noxious gas….bringer of plague and disease… ”Stay close, girls.” she reminded her two shining stars, cautioning them as she always tended to do. She had never expected to fall into such a matronly role but here she was. Egg mom, through and through. She hoped it was worth it , though. Raising these baby pokemon and newborn pokemon from their hatchings. Hopefully it instilled a stronger team bond, helped them perform as a unit. That was the goal, anyway. You know you can't keep lettin' it get you down And you can't keep draggin' that dead weight around.
Word Count - 502 | fitz | NOTES - rawr <3 10 ruby gems | Using for pidgey and taillow eggs The grasslands spread out like an open invitation as Judas walked through the swaying yellowed grass in the autumn day, the sun bright overhead in mostly clear azure skies. His team was nervous, restless, a thick ozone crackling with electrical energy that made the flying types on edge, buzzing with energy. Socrates and the Oricorio were nervous, the yellow raptor padding stiffly by Judas' side, her tail swaying behind her as she glanced around anxiously, while the fiery red dancer bird spun in the air, still not entirely adjusted to her new trainer and team and bothered still by the overturning of a life she once knew and loved, but trying to adjust with a cheery demeanor that hid any weaknesses behind open friendliness and expressive gestures. She was keeping it inside for now at least, and to her that was what mattered the most until she figured herself out....
Some of the others were faring better at least however Judas noted as he gingerly checked on the two eggs in his bag again, azure gaze doing a quick glance across the grasses for the bright red gems scattered around before turning skyward to find the taillow and Zeno zipping around further up, the sparrow and robin spreading restlessly out across the sky as the taillow occasionally dived down to fetch a sparkling gem, Zeno content to ignore them and merely stretch his wings, apathetic to whatever Judas and the rest of his team did. As for his last two.... Archimedes lazily rode his shoulder again while Aristotle was nowhere to be seen, the rowlet having decided to force herself to stay awake and gone flying across the grasses, unlike the others keeping low the the saffron stalks, a silent tawny shadow zipping through the plains, talons flashing to scoop up red gems in the blink of an eye.
Aterall, of all of Judas' companions, Aristotle had the least to fear, the electric plains that crackled with static thrumming in her bones even as the stems of her leafy feathers absorbed the twinges. What she wasn't expecting though was another grass type with an electric type, the small pokemon hidden in the grasslands until she swept close, a human not far from them. Sleepy still in the daylight hours, her reactions were slow, sluggish, a furious beating of powerful wings as she back-winged, slowing her momentum to ascend suddenly, rising in a flurry of dust and settling herself down to land awkwardly, eyeing the two pokemon as she kept the few gems she had found tucked under foot in one claw. They looked young.... or at least the grass type did, though friendly enough.... shifting slightly and blinking sleepily, she twisted her head to look for her companions, seeing only the blue of the taillow darting through the skies before looking back at the other two pokemon. < Hello.. > she murmured sleepily. < Who are you two? > Her question was lift, drifting lazily with sleepiness though posed in friendly openness.
