[attr="class","rostercat2"]Zephyr is young, he's inexperienced, naïve, and all too trusting at times but he still can see the world with fresh bright eyes, eager to explore and eager too learn. He doesn't have the experience and knowledge of older trainers and folks, he doesn't have any guidance or training, he's new to the game of training, new to trying to be on his own, and new to many of the difficulties that come with following this path so commonly associated with a sort of trail to growing up. Perhaps, indeed, Zephyr is rather ill-prepared for the world at large. He's a curious soul to be sure, more then excited to begin his journey, to see and venture across the region, to train a team of pokemon and find pokemon to catch and bond with and become partners with as he trains them and they turn into fantastic beasts and awe inspiring companions. He wants to learn about everything and anything that can be presented to him. But Zephyr is idealistic. An optimist who has yet to taste the actual difficulties of life, he always believes in the best, dreaming of the future without watching where he walks in the present. He'll always be the first to believe that everything will go fine, the first to go headfirst into something that hints of adventure or calls to him, and the most steadfast to remain in good cheer, a smile easy to his young innocent features. Truth be told, Zephyr is quite fragile. He's unaccustomed to many things, to loss, to fear, to concern and wariness. He believes in superstition and bed-time stories, he thinks everything will always have a happy ending, and he trusts people to always be good and kind. Losing hits him hard, intimidation may find him cowering, and deceit finds him believing. He inexperienced and clueless at times of things that others may know, his social graces are clumsy and his intelligence only perhaps a bit above his age—which is to leave it a far stretch from those of elder teens or young adulthood, never mind above. He's kind and open, but sadly, still very much a child trying to brave a world of grown people. [attr="class","rostercatsub2"]PERSONALITY | [attr="class","rostercat2"]Zephyr never knew his parents. Well, not his real ones. But, all things considered, his foster parents and older foster siblings were as good a family as any young boy could have ever asked for. Shaula town wasn't the grandest of places certainly, it was an older place filled mostly with older people, not nearly as large or as fancy as many other cities, but what it lacked in grandeur and technology it more then made up for in stories. See, Zephyr was always a bit... Distant from his family. Not in a bad way, certainly he got along well with them and was a happy at least decently-adjusted child, but something was always... Missing. Perhaps it was simply how he was that he didn't connect right, perhaps it was some inner knowledge that they weren't his real parents, his real siblings, not that he ever though of them as anything but that. Whatever it was, Zephyr found he just... Sometimes felt a little out of touch with them. He would spend time with his older brother and sister often, and would enjoy it, but more often then not he would be reading, or out near the routes exploriring the edges and watching pokemon. Or listening to the elders tell stories. Zephyr always loved the stories, from the scary ones of Darkrai haunting his dreams if he did bad and drifbloom carrying away little children to steal their souls to the ones of Celebi playing through time and the legendary beasts being revived from the ashes by the great phoenix Ho-Oh. The legendary stories were his favorites, though the ones of ghost types and dark types always left him with chills, and he loved being spooked by them almost as much. Almost since he could remember the stories made Zephyr want to be a trainer. He envisioned epic journeys and adventures where he would meet Legendary pokemon, or maybe just his path as he trained a team of fiercesome pokemon and climbed the ranks through gym battle after gym battle, defeating the elite four and the champion at the end of the road. Dreams merely, perhaps, but potent ones. Ones that left him yearning. With his siblings aged adults settled into permanent jobs and his parents—or foster parents rather—realizing their roaming dreamer could not be sated forever by promises alone, it was not long after Zephyr turned twelve that he would at last be met with the gift he had wanted most for the longest time, even if it was given reluctantly: a trainer's card with money, orders to stay in frquent contact, and advice of care to take him to the rangers and then to Cassiopeia to start his very own journey.
